Removals Guide – Self Drive Van Hire

Step 1

Consider making more than making one trip in your Van rather than cramming everything in if the distance to travel is not far.

When packing in boxes remember to put heavy items on the bottom and lighter more fragile items on the top. Wrap fragile items in bubble wrap to help protect them from breakage during transportation.

Always put the heaviest items towards the front of the van and make sure they are securely fastened in.

Protect furniture with sheets and blankets so they don’t get scratched.

Step 6

Remember to drive slowly without any sudden stops. Speed limits for Vans are lower than other vehicles 50pmh on single carriageways and 60 mph on dual carriageways.
