Durham

Durham is a city full of history with its cobbled streets and beautiful cathedral and castle. Many tourists come to Durham every year to explore the history of Durham cathedral past and present.

Durham cathedral was originally built as a place of worship mainly to house the shrine of Saint Cuthbert. Many pilgrims came to Durham from all over Enlgand in his honour.

The University of Durham is world re known and has students from all over the world which come to study there.

Parts of the Harry Potter film were also filmed at Durham.
