Did you know? Peterlee was originally named after the Durham miners leader Peter Lee.
Peterlee holds a two day event called the Peterlee show every year which is normally around the 1st week in September. It typically has fairgrounds, live bands and a firework display. Previously on the Sunday they have had a half marathon fun run organized around the area. Recently the Pasmore Pavilion monument has undergone major renovation in the Oakerside Drive area of Peterlee.
