The seafront and harbor area for Seaham has been developed hugely over the past years and now has many cafes, bars and restaurants on the seafront.

Houghton
Home of the famous Houghton Feast, which is an ancient festival held each October in the town. Other villages and people from the towns travel to Houghton to the famous feast.
It now a days typically features a fairground, carnival, fireworks and a ox roasting event in the Houghton Village.
